Every year the same scenario plays out:
Clementines - or Christmas Oranges as they are called at my house - are scarce all through the warmer months. As soon a Thanksgiving is upon us (we're Canadian so it's earlier than our friends in the US), Clementines are everywhere!
Sold in five pound boxes - and under $4 a box - a great deal for these sweet little beauties.
The first box I bring home in gone in 48 hours. With the vitamin boost, the family is in love!
The second box, maybe another pound is eaten before the family moves onto other grazings, leaving the clementines to dry out in their neglect.
So, in an effort to avoid waste - here is a collection of recipes I have complied in hopes of keeping my food dollars in check - and not thrown to the curb.
